As a touring author/artist, my journey takes me to a variety of locations from grade schools to middle schools, to bookstore signings, library GGI presentations, and other interesting venues. The children in the audience are enthusiastic readers of all levels looking for adventure and have plenty of interesting questions for a visiting author. The questions range from character issues, to future storyline direction and recently, a growing interest in the computer-generated illustration(CGI).

Computer-generated artwork is every aspect of visual media.. it has really come to the forefront in recent years. Children today, grow up with computer-generated heroes featured in video games, films, cartoons and in print. They still have the same curiosity as I had-- when I saw Saturday morning cartoon or read that special comic book and wondered how is it made?.

The bugem.com Ezine / newsletter will answer some of the "how to"in the design and creation process when working with computer generated 3d graphics. It will be publish easy to read format featuring design information on storyboarding, sketching, brainstorming, character design and other related topics. ----Hopefully inspiring the next generation of young artists, designers and authors. One of best attributes of computer generated software is the ability to apply textures to your built 3D artwork. The texture effects highlight detail, character and bring realism to your virtual worlds. No need to model complex objects, well designed textures can show great detail.
